Physical Requirements The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motion (such as typing); walking including pushing, pulling, and/or lifting up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs. The conditions of work may involve regular exposure to loud noises, intermittent exposure to blood borne/airborne pathogens and combative/violent people, and occasional exposure to cuts and punctures. Shift Days, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, and other days and hours as needed. Job Summary This position will provide patient registration, scheduling, and financial counseling to the DMD Dental Clinic and coordinate cross clinic coverage. The successful candidate will, on occasion, provide fill-in and backup coverage for patient relations positions at various levels at other UK Dental Clinics both on and off campus. This position will provide services to English and Spanish speakers, fluency in written and verbal communication in both English and Spanish are required.Skills / Knowledge
/ Abilities The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish languages; have excellent attention to detail; exceptional planning and organizational skills; effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to solve routine problems and manage resources; demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service, time management, and judgment; and respect for confidentiality and patients from various backgrounds. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Verbal Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred.
