Qualifications:

EIPA score of 2.5 or higher, or a relevant degree with demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) Ability to successfully interpret ASL during the interview process Prior experience as a Sign Language Interpreter or ASL Paraprofessional in an educational setting is preferred A passion for supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing students

Responsibilities:

Facilitate clear, effective communication between a deaf student and classroom staff during school hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) Adapt interpreting styles to match student needs and classroom environments Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment Maintain professional and ethical interpreting standards
