Written Translators•French, Portuguese, Spanish, Haitian-Creole Translators are needed to translate written documents from English into French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian-Creole. Translations are to be done in Microsoft Word, and the translator will have to present the resulting work in its final format and within the deadline established by the originator of the document. If the deadline seems to be unreasonable, the translator will have to immediately inform the originator who may establish a new deadline or send the work to another translator. To determine proficiency in English-target language translation, applicants will be provided a sample document for translation which will be evaluated. Translators are also required to have access to e-mail service and all translations are to be sent electronically to the originator, unless otherwise requested. Translator will work with the Office of Bilingual/ESL Services and other offices within the Brockton Public Schools.
