Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalency (GED) certificate.Experience :
Two (2) years of experience working in a call center and/or a customer service telephone position, providing direct customer assistance to the public as a telemarketer, telephone services representative, credit service representative or a similar customer service position that involves simultaneous answering telephones and data entry. The ideal candidate will have excellent listening, communication, articulate, writing and interpersonal skills.- If you meet the qualifications, you will be notified to take the hands-on examination, date to be determined at 1515 Washington Blvd, Baltimore, MD 21230.
NOTES:
1. The Information Agent is an essential personnel position designated by the MTA to be critical in maintaining the operation of the Transit Information Contact Center during significant service emergencies or adverse weather conditions and the employee must report to work as scheduled. This job requires sitting for long periods of time. 2. The Contact Center operating hours are 6am-7pm and are subject to change. Applicants must be able to work various shifts; daytime, evenings, weekends and holiday shifts as determined by the needs of the Transit Information Department. 3. Applicants will be required to successfully demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities operating a computer, in data entry, writing and customer service skills by passing an examination administered on a computer and interview. Employees may attend and participate in safety meetings, be aware of hazards in their work area, and should report hazards, unsafe acts, near misses, injuries, and accidents immediately.
