Nursing Full Job Description Role Overview:
The RN Team Leader in the Operating Room manages daily surgical operations within the orthopedic service line, serving as a clinical and operational leader.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and support surgical workflows to optimize case flow, reduce delays, and ensure timely first-case starts. Participate in audits, quality initiatives, and implement evidence-based practices specific to orthopedic surgery. Communicate equipment, supply, or process concerns to leadership and assist in improvement planning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of 2 years RN Operating Room experience. Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred. Maryland RN license, BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred.
Additional Details:
The role requires proficiency in circulating and scrub perioperative nursing, with advanced clinical expertise and leadership abilities. The position involves managing surgical workflow across multiple specialties, including neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, and robotics, within a 24/7 Level II Trauma Center.
