Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Minimum EIPA score of 3.0 or higher required Proficiency in American Sign Language and English Prior experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a K-12 educational setting preferred Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner effectively with students, staff, and families Flexibility to adapt to different classroom environments and student needs
Core Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 interpreting services for a designated student across a variety of classes and activities Translate spoken language into sign language (and vice versa) in real-time, facilitating clear and accurate communication Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Participate in IEP meetings and communicate student progress and needs with the educational team Contribute to a positive, inclusive educational atmosphere This position is full-time throughout the academic calendar, offering stability and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students and staff.
