Key Qualifications:
Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings National Interpreter Certification (NIC), EIPA, or RID certification preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism Comfortable working with students, faculty, and staff in a dynamic school environment
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver real-time sign language interpretation between students, educators, and staff during school activities on the assigned day Facilitate clear, accurate, and effective communication within the classroom and during any scheduled school events Collaborate closely with faculty to understand lesson plans or event schedules Adapt quickly to new environments and support the unique needs of the school community Ensure a supportive, respectful setting for everyone involved
