This position will be located at Deutschheim State Historic Site, 109 West Second Street, Hermann, MO . This is a temporary, seasonal position. The work hours are flexible and negotiable, but not to exceed 1,000 hours total during a year.
Duration of Assignment :
Flexible time frame, from October - December, including the possibility of extended season.
Responsibilities - What you'll do You will be assisting the State Park staff with interpretation, and you will get to actively learn the site's operations, cultural and natural resource stewardship activities, and historical research. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public Sell tour tickets and souvenirs in the gift shop Conduct guided tours of two, circa 1840s historic homes and related businesses Greet guests and visitors, answer telephone and email inquiries Empty trash containers and clean visitor center restroom Light maintenance of site buildings Depending on area(s) of interest: assist with gardening, data entry, maintenance, research, and German translations Other duties as assigned Qualifications - All you need for success To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills :
