Qualifications and Experience:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in school settings highly preferred Valid interpreter certification (such as RID, EIPA, or state equivalent) Strong understanding of student confidentiality and educational protocols Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster trusting relationships with students and staff Adaptability to meet changing classroom needs and schedules

Responsibilities:

Provide real-time sign language interpretation for one high school student during classes, meetings, and relevant school activities Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, staff, and peers to support inclusive instruction Collaborate with educational teams to understand specific student needs and classroom goals Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions and interpretation assignments Support the student in fully accessing curriculum content and participating in school life Working with us means flexibility and the chance to make a difference in a young persons life.
