Qualifications/Preferred Experience:
Valid certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter. Experience working in schools or educational settings. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL). Previous teaching experience with ASL is highly desirable. Collaborative spirit and adaptability. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken language into ASL for students and staff in classroom settings. Provide one-on-one and group ASL instruction as needed. Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administrative staff to support student learning. Support students in academic and extracurricular activities by facilitating effective communication. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards.
