Key Qualifications:

ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher (required) Proficient in receptive and expressive American Sign Language interpretation Experience working 1:1 with students or young people in K-12 educational settings preferred Understanding of IEP accommodations and educational protocols Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills Flexibility and reliability for a school-based schedule

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide accurate, sensitive, and confidential interpretation services for an assigned student Support direct classroom instruction and school-related activities, ensuring accessibility to educational content Facilitate clear communication between the student, peers, teachers, and staff Collaborate with educators and support staff to adapt materials and access services as needed Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with interpreting best practices Document services provided and participate in meetings as required
