e2111-59601 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Sign Language Interpreter, supporting students on a 1:1 basis in a dynamic educational environment near Helena, MT. This contract, full-time and on-site assignment welcomes experienced interpreters ready to travel and make a significant impact in students lives.
Key qualifications:
Hold an American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI) score of 4.1 or higher Previous experience working in a school setting, especially providing 1:1 student interpretation, is highly valued Demonstrated understanding of deaf culture, educational interpreting protocols, and best practices in accessibility Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with educators, staff, students, and families Ability to adapt interpreting methods to student needs and classroom contexts Valid credentials or certifications required by the state or local educational authorities Role responsibilities: Provide precise and confidential in-class and activity-based interpretation services to facilitate communication for a designated student Foster student engagement and learning by accurately conveying spoken language into sign language, and vice versa Work in partnership with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure full participation in curricular and extracurricular activities Maintain clear records, fulfill reporting requirements, and observe all educational guidelines Adapt to various classroom situations, sensory needs, or changes in schedules This role offers competitive weekly pay, along with comprehensive health and dental insurance, and a company-matched 401(k) plan to support your long-term well-being.
