This contract opportunity extends from August 3, 2026 to May 28, 2027, following an academic calendar. Each weekday, youll be supporting accessible communication for students, contributing to an inclusive educational environment. This position is strictly onsite; remote options are not available.

Key Qualifications:

Valid state licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter. Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 required. RID certification holders are also eligible, regardless of EIPA score. Demonstrated proficiency in facilitating ASL interpretation within educational settings. Dependability in arriving before student start times and being fully prepared for the day.

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver consistent interpretation services for a designated caseload at Troutman Elementary. Collaborate closely with education staff to facilitate effective, barrier-free classroom participation. Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Support students with hearing differences throughout their daily routines from arrival to dismissal. Participate in school activities and meetings as necessary to optimize student outcomes. This rewarding contract role consists of a Monday to Friday schedule, totaling 35 hours per week (7:00 am 2:30 pm).
