Youll play a crucial role bridging communication between Deaf or Hard of Hearing students and their peers, educators, and staff, making a lasting impact throughout the academic journey. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Hold a valid Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 or higher. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) within a school or youth setting. Strong understanding of Deaf culture and sensitivity to student needs. Ability to adapt interpretation style to match various ages and grade levels. Professionalism, punctuality, and reliability. Comfortable working collaboratively with educators and school personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide accurate sign language interpretation for classroom instruction, school events, and extracurricular activities. Support Deaf or Hard of Hearing students with access to curriculum and communications. Facilitate clear and effective interactions between students, teachers, and staff. Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and respect for all participants. Engage in ongoing communication with the educational team to optimize student success. Maintain daily logs and other required documentation. Remain adaptable to changing schedules and student needs throughout the contract term.
