Job Description

Bring your passion for sign language to a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting students of all ages. This full-time contract role offers five dedicated openings for skilled Sign Language Interpreters to work 1:1 with students ranging from preschool through high school. Candidates will be thoughtfully paired with students in their preferred age group, allowing for meaningful connections and optimal support.
Key Qualifications:
Valid 3.5 EIPA or higher Proven skills as a Sign Language Interpreter, specifically for educational settings Previous experience in school environments strongly preferred Ability to engage one-on-one with diverse learners Flexible and adaptable communication style
Daily Responsibilities:
Provide consistent 1:1 interpreting for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, facilitating both classroom instruction and social participation Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure students' educational access and inclusion Adapt interpreting style to meet the language preferences and needs of each student Support students' growth and confidence through clear, compassionate communication
