Qualifications:

ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher (required) Proficiency in American Sign Language and fluency in interpreting within educational settings Experience working 1:1 with students, preferably in a school environment Professional certification in interpreting (preferred) Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, adaptable approach Willingness to relocate or travel for the assignment

Responsibilities:

Provide real-time sign language interpretation during classroom lessons, activities, and school events Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to ensure consistent student support Foster an inclusive environment that promotes equal access to curriculum and social interaction Support the students individual education plans and help meet academic and social goals Uphold confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards
