Key Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa for students and school staff Support communication in classrooms, meetings, and school events Adapt interpreting modalities to diverse age groups and learning levels Foster an inclusive environment that empowers students with hearing differences Work closely with educators and support staff to facilitate student participation
Desired Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language and interpreting concepts Prior experience interpreting in school or educational settings preferred Certification through recognized interpreting bodies (such as RID or EIPA) is a plus Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities Adaptability and a positive, team-oriented attitude
