Key Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Prior experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings preferred National or state certification as required (such as EIPA, RID, or state credential) Ability to effectively interpret in both one-on-one and group settings Strong commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
Position Responsibilities:
Facilitate clear communication between students and staff using sign language Interpret classroom instruction, assemblies, and extracurricular activities Support student participation and engagement in all educational activities Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure accommodations are met Maintain accurate records and uphold ethical standards
