Job Description

Step into an impactful role supporting elementary students as a Sign Language Interpreter in a vibrant educational environment. This contract position runs through May 2027a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in young learners lives while growing professionally within a dedicated school setting. Youll work full-time, 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, providing essential interpreting services for elementary-age students. This is an onsite-only role, giving you the daily connection and classroom presence needed to foster strong communication and inclusivity.
Key Qualifications:
Valid EIPA score of 3.0 or higher required Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and skilled in educational interpreting Previous experience working in schools or with young children is highly valued Ability to interpret and translate classroom content and social interactions fluently Strong communication skills and professionalism as part of an educational team Commitment to full-time, onsite attendance throughout the assignment
Responsibilities:
Deliver clear, accurate ASL interpretation for students during classes, activities, and school events Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff, ensuring accessible learning Support students social, emotional, and educational development through inclusive interpreting Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical interpreting standards Collaborate with educators and support staff to meet students unique needs This long-term assignment offers daily opportunities to create meaningful impact, improve student outcomes, and enjoy the continuity and support of an established school community.
