Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Proficient in American Sign Language, with documented experience supporting students in educational settings Holds a minimum EIPA score of 3.0 or higher Previous experience as a K-12 or elementary-level sign language interpreter preferred Committed to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical interpreting practices Reliable and punctual with excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

Provide clear, accurate interpretation for elementary-level students and staff throughout the school day Foster access to curriculum, activities, and school events for students who are deaf or hard of hearing Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other staff to support student learning goals Maintain cultural sensitivity and adapt communication methods as needed for student success Uphold ethical standards and respect student privacy and classroom dynamics This position is full-time with hours from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday, ensuring consistent involvement in daily school life within a supportive district.
