The ideal candidate will possess:

Valid EIPA certification with a score of 3.0 or higher (required) Proven experience or training as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in a K-12 or educational setting Strong knowledge of American Sign Language and educational interpreting practices Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and inclusion Ability to adapt to the needs of diverse elementary students and work collaboratively with educators Key responsibilities include: Providing onsite interpretation between spoken English and ASL in classrooms and school-related settings Assisting teachers and staff in understanding and supporting communication needs Fostering a supportive, engaging learning atmosphere Maintaining accurate records and upholding ethical standards for interpreters Collaborating with the educational team to ensure students' needs are met This is a full-time, onsite commitment, Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, serving an elementary caseload.
