The Language Services Associate Interpreter serves as a liaison to the language needs of the non-English speaking community by providing interpreting services. This role will primarily work on admission, registration and support the clinical team to bridge linguistic and cultural barriers to assure appropriate communication, delivery of health care and support services.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. Ability to speak & write in English and other language fluently. Certification or qualification in medical interpreter training. Knowledge and ability to articulate the cultural and perceptual factors that affect communication between patient, families, providers and interpreter. Demonstrate ability to relate to people in a warm and consistently friendly manner. Teamwork oriented, commitment to customer service excellence and collaborative approach required. Rotating schedule/shifts that may include weekends and/or holidays based on needs. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
