This position offers engaging work weeks ranging from 32 to 40 hours, Monday through Friday, where youll play a vital role in fostering communication and inclusion for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Qualifications:

Current National Certification for Sign Language Interpreting EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or higher Prior experience in school environments is advantageous Strong understanding of American Sign Language and interpreting ethics Effective communication skills, adaptability, and dedication to student success

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide accurate and meaningful interpretation services between students, teachers, staff, and peers to ensure full access to curriculum and activities Support individualized educational programs (IEPs) and collaborate with special education teams Interpret classroom instruction, assemblies, meetings, and school events as needed Aid in fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment Maintain clear and confidential records of services provided Adapt interpreting techniques to fit the age, language level, and learning style of students in grades K-12
