Qualifications:
National certification or state licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (EIPA, RID, or equivalent) Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience interpreting in an educational setting strongly preferred Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills Ability to adapt to new environments and work collaboratively with school staff
Responsibilities:
Provide interpretation services to students and staff in classroom and school-wide settings Facilitate effective communication between Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing students and their peers, teachers, and administrators Support educational goals by ensuring accessibility in all instructional activities Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Participate in meetings, training, and professional development as required
