9644810-97355 Job Description Make a positive impact as a Sign Language Interpreter supporting a young student beginning their educational journey. Located near Lebanon, OR, this in-person, contract opportunity offers you the chance to contribute directly to a students growth during a pivotal school year. The assignment is scheduled for 33 hours each week, aligning with the schools hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:15 am to 2:15 pm and Wednesdays from 7:15 am to 12:15 pm. The role begins on September 9th, 2026, and continues through June 15th, providing consistent, meaningful work throughout the academic year.

What Youll Need:

Demonstrated proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings Appropriate state certifications and credentials Experience working with children, ideally at the kindergarten level Ability to facilitate communication between Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing students and classroom staff Strong interpersonal and communication skills High level of professionalism, reliability, and adaptability Comfortable working as part of a collaborative school team

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret classroom instruction, peer interactions, and all educational activities for a kindergarten student Foster an inclusive, accessible learning environment Partner with teachers, specialists, and school staff to support student participation Adapt interpreting approaches to suit the students current sign language proficiency Maintain confidentiality and respect student privacy Prepare for each days classroom content and activities This position offers the fulfilling experience of helping a new learner thrive in a mainstream classroom.
