Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. This role plays a vital part in facilitating effective interaction between hearing and deaf or hard-of-hearing students and staff, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Translate spoken English into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during classroom instruction and school activities. Facilitate communication among students, teachers, and school personnel. Support academic and social integration of deaf or hard-of-hearing students. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interpreting assignments. Collaborate with educators to adapt materials and strategies for students needs.
