Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity shaping the 2026-2027 school year as a paraprofessional, making a meaningful impact in classrooms across Carbon and Lehigh Counties in Pennsylvania! With 40 open positions available, this is your chance to support students and teachers in a vibrant, collaborative educational environment. Assignments vary and will be determined after successful onboarding and HR clearance. Whether you're seeking full-time (35 hours per week for school-age classrooms) or part-time (29 hours per week for early intervention), both options are available.
Key Qualifications:
At least one year of experience as a paraprofessional in a school or special education setting Ability to commute within 35 minutes to Lehigh or Carbon County locations Availability for a typical school day schedule, with start times as early as 7:00 AM and end times up to 3:30 PM Meet one of the PA state paraprofessional qualification criteria: 48 college credits, an associate degree or higher, or successful completion of a state/local assessment (certificates accepted or obtainable within 60 days of hire) Willingness to complete onboarding requirements, all background clearances, and the state-mandated credentialing process within deadlines Comfortable with job duties including assisting with behaviors, some lifting, toileting, and chasing after students if needed
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with certified educators to provide classroom and individual support Adapt to changing assignments based on student and school needs Support students' instructional, social, and behavioral goals as directed by supervisory staff Maintain reliable, on-time attendance and swift, responsive support throughout the school day
