Sign Language Interpreter for an 8-week assignment in or near Dover, Pennsylvania. Provides real-time interpretation for deaf and hard-of-hearing students during school hours. Works within a team to ensure equal access to educational content.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide sign language interpretation services to students during school hours. Facilitate communication between students and staff to ensure equal access to educational content. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and interpreting standards. Collaborate with educators to support student learning needs. Document and report any concerns or issues related to interpretation services.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Completed certification in Sign Language Interpretation. EIPA score of 3.5 or higher. Valid license in Pennsylvania. Minimum 1 year experience in Sign Language Interpretation. Valid driver's license. Background check clearance. Strong communication skills, patience, adaptability, and ability to work with deaf/hard-of-hearing populations.
