Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role as an onsite Sign Language Interpreter, supporting a high school student during the entire 2026-2027 school year. Set within a dynamic educational environment, you'll provide critical access to classroom instruction and foster inclusion, helping a student thrive academically and socially. This part-time contract position offers a schedule of two days weekly (ideally Monday and Friday but with flexibility based on your and the school's needs).

Key Qualifications:

Valid EIPA score of 3.5 or above (please include with your application) Experience providing sign language interpretation in a school or educational setting Comfortable working 1:1 with a high school student in academic classes Ability to complete Pennsylvania onboarding within one year of start date Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to supporting student success

Responsibilities:

Deliver accurate and nuanced interpretation for a student in regular academic programming, ensuring comprehension and participation Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to facilitate an inclusive learning environment Assist the student in fully accessing classroom discussions, assignments, and activities Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and sensitivity to the needs of the student
