World Heritage Student Exchange Program is looking for dependable, outgoing adults to join our nationwide team as Area Representatives . Area Representatives serve as a local connection between international students, volunteer host families, and schools while helping create a successful exchange experience. This is a flexible, part-time contract opportunity that is especially well suited for someone who enjoys meeting people, being involved in their community, and working independently. What Does an Area Representative Do? As a local representative, you will help make sure students and host families have the support they need throughout the exchange year.
Your responsibilities may include:
Connecting with people in your community to find families interested in welcoming an international student into their home. Checking in regularly with students and their host families throughout the school year. Helping address questions or concerns and serving as a local resource when needed. Planning several opportunities for students to experience their community, American culture, and local traditions. Maintaining a positive working relationship with the high school where the student attends. Completing required documentation and monthly student/family contacts. Much of the work can be completed from home, by phone, online, or within your local community. Representatives have the flexibility to organize their responsibilities around their existing schedules. You'll also become part of a larger team of representatives throughout the United States who share ideas, experiences, and resources. Compensation is provided for completed student placements and ongoing student supervision. Specific compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
Requirements Applicants must:
Be at least 25 years old. Successfully complete a background check as required by the U.S. Department of State. Be dependable and able to work independently. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Be comfortable working with teenagers, families, and school personnel. Complete required program training.
