Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A position is available for a Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within a school environment located in Quincy, MA. This contract role focuses on providing clear and accurate communication access for students and staff through telehealth platforms, ensuring effective interpretation in virtual settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate real-time sign language interpretation during telehealth sessions to support students and educators. Collaborate with educational and healthcare professionals to ensure communication needs are met. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Adapt interpretation techniques to suit virtual communication platforms effectively. Stay updated on best practices in sign language interpretation and telehealth technologies.
Desired Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting experience. Prior experience with telehealth services in educational or clinical settings.
