Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. A position is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within an educational setting in McDonough, GA. This 1099 contract opportunity offers the flexibility to provide vital communication support remotely, ensuring accessibility for students and staff who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate clear and accurate sign language interpretation during telehealth sessions and virtual meetings. Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to support effective communication. Qualifications and Experience:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with certification preferred. Experience with telehealth interpretation in educational or clinical environments. Strong understanding of interpreting protocols and ethics. Ability to navigate and utilize telecommunication technology effectively. Excellent communication skills and cultural competence within the Deaf community.
