Full-Time | K-12 About the Role This virtual Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) position supports K-12 students across Colorado by providing communication access in remote educational settings. The role focuses on facilitating effective communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their instructional teams while supporting participation in academic activities and services. Responsibilities Provide accurate virtual sign language interpreting during classroom instruction and school-related activities Support student access in individual, small-group, and whole-class settings Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers Follow IEPs and communication plans to support student needs Maintain accurate service documentation and scheduling records Participate in virtual meetings related to student support and educational planning Requirements Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter or equivalent credential Eligibility to work as a school-based interpreter in Colorado Proficiency in ASL and educational interpreting practices School-based interpreting experience preferred Virtual or remote interpreting experience preferred Teaching certification may be required depending on district.
