• The Work
• Translators will translate to agencies for individuals with a language barrier.

Translation will consist of but not limited to Education, legal, Medical, Environmental, and Social Services, etc.

Languages we are looking for:

• Arabic, Cantonese, Farsi,
• German, Haitian Creole, Japanese, Khmer, Kinyarwanda, Mandarin, Nepali, Oromo, Portuguese, Romanian, Somali, Thai, Ukrainian, and Simplified/Traditional Chinese.
• This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.
• Responsibilities
• + Accurately translate spoken work situations like lectures, conversations, and meetings.

+ Utilizing technology to transcribe spoken English in some settings. + Reading an original document and translating it into the language required. + Editing translated versions + Will need to be sensitive to the culture of the original languages and the target languages during the translation process + Other duties as assigned.

• Qualifications
• Here's What You Need
• + High School/BA Degree/ or equivalent in years of experience + Medical Interpreting Training School + Foreign Service Institute + Legal Translation online certifications + Certified Translation Professional (CPT) + AOC + ATA Certified + NAJIT + Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters. + Must be fluent in one or more of the following languages:
• Arabic, Cantonese, Farsi,
• German, Haitian Creole, Japanese, Khmer, Kinyarwanda, Mandarin, Nepali, Oromo, Portuguese, Romanian, Somali, Thai, Ukrainian, and Simplified/Traditional Chinese.
• + Must be able to pass a background check.

May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment. + The ability to facilitate communication with discretion and impartiality. + Proficiency in oral and written communication + A wide breadth of knowledge in a variety of topics + Strong social awareness for interpretation with empathy and attentiveness + The ability to track and remember information and concepts while simultaneously interpreting them. + Physical stamina and dexterity for extended interpretation sessions + Must possess problem-solving skills. + Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc. + Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time. + Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature. + Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.

• Reports to: Deputy Program Manager
• Working Conditions
• + Professional remote environment.

+ Must be able to be on-call. Translator/Interpreter will be notified within 48 hours of potential jobs. + Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time. + Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position. + Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace. + Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen. + May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays. + May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes. + May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
