Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter - Telehealth Job Type Contract A full-time virtual Sign Language Interpreter is required to provide interpreting services for two 6th grade middle school students. This role involves telehealth delivery within a school setting, supporting students in accessing their educational curriculum effectively through American Sign Language (ASL).
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver clear and accurate sign language interpretation via telehealth for middle school students Collaborate with teachers, students, and staff to facilitate effective communication and learning Maintain compliance with all educational and professional standards related to interpreting Support academic and social interactions to enhance student participation and understanding
Qualifications:
Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) certification in Sign Language Interpreting is mandatory Demonstrated experience working with middle school-aged students Proficiency in American Sign Language, with the ability to interpret educational content accurately Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual communication tools Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity to support diverse learners
Location:
Remote/Virtual assignment serving students in Decatur, GA within the Fulton County school system
Schedule:
Full-time hours, Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM This opportunity calls for a skilled interpreter dedicated to enhancing student communication in a virtual learning environment.
