Sign Language Interpreter Responsibilities:
Facilitating Communication :
Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa to ensure the student can fully understand and participate in classroom activities and discussions.
Supporting Academic Success :
Assist the student by interpreting lectures, instructions, and multimedia content to help them engage with the curriculum.
Encouraging Social Interaction :
Facilitate communication between the student and their peers to support their social development and inclusion.
Providing Accessibility :
Interpret during extracurricular activities, assemblies, and special events to ensure the student has equal access to all aspects of school life. Collaborating with
Staff :
Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to adapt and implement strategies tailored to the student's needs. Do you have strong communication skills?
