The interpreter will work closely with two middle school students, providing essential communication access as they move through their class schedule together. While one student is on the autism spectrum and may exhibit behavioral challenges, your sole focus will be interpreting; all behavior management is addressed by another professional. If you feel more comfortable with additional behavioral or CPI training, this can be arranged by the SLI Lead.
Key Qualifications:
EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required) Successful completion of the written EIPA exam High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement) Ability to pass a background check Willingness to sign and adhere to the SLI Code of Ethics during onboarding
