Job Summary We are seeking a qualified and motivated American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to support students in a school setting in Franklin, TN . The interpreter will facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and teachers, staff, and peers to ensure equal access to educational opportunities.. Responsibilities Provide sign language interpreting services in classroom and school-related activities. Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards. Assist students in accessing instructional and extracurricular activities. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and school administrators. Requirements Educational Interpreter Performance Evaluation (EIPA), level 4 or above Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) American Consortium of Certified Interpreters (ACC1), level 4 or above NAD certification, level 4 or above Educational Signs Skills Evaluation Interpreter (ESSE-1), level 4 or above Proven proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with certification from a recognized interpreting organization preferred.
