Key Qualifications:
Certified Sign Language Interpreter (RID or equivalent certification preferred) Experience interpreting in educational settings Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Adaptability and professionalism in changing environments
Main Responsibilities:
Provide sign language interpretation for students and staff in classroom and school activities Foster an inclusive environment for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards of interpreting Facilitate clear and accurate communication in both academic and extracurricular settings
