Duties/Responsibilities Facilitate communication among patients, families, and staff. Interpret directly and accurately Documents accurately and completely all interpretation services Serves as a cultural mediator, as necessary and when appropriate, to enhance communication between patients/family and staff, as it relates to medical care. Provide written translation services Maintain proper medical terminology vocabulary and fluency in English and target language. Adhere and promote interpreter Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice Assist with special projects as assigned Perform other administrative tasks as needed for department support Required Skills/Abilities 1 year of interpretation experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's degree preferred Passing score on language proficiency assessments (written and verbal) within 90 days of hire Working Environment Working conditions:
