Job Description

Make an impact supporting students in an engaging high school environment as a Sign Language Interpreter. Work on a contract basis Fridays only, helping a thriving 9th-grade student reach new academic and social milestones. This onsite position offers the chance to directly facilitate communication and learning, ensuring access and inclusion for a student who is succeeding in multiple areasincluding academics, social connections, and theater.
Key Qualifications:
Active licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter required Experience in educational or school settings preferred Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and ability to facilitate communication in a classroom Understanding of accommodations for students using cochlear implants and assistive listening devices Professionalism, reliability, and positive collaboration with school staff
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality sign language interpretation for a 9th-grade student in all academic and extracurricular settings Support the students communication needs, ensuring full participation in classroom discussions and school activities Collaborate with teachers and staff to adapt lessons and materials as needed Facilitate the use of assistive listening devices and other accommodations Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that celebrates the students achievements and growth
