certification, five (5) years general interpreting experience and two (2) years continuous post-secondary interpreter experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities General knowledge of The Americans with Disabilities Act (AA, 2008) and how it applies to the higher education arena, The Rehabilitation Act (504). Flexible availability for morning/afternoon/weekend scheduling. Knowledge of Deaf culture and proficiency in both sign language and oral/voice interpreting. Fluency in American Sign Language and other sign systems ( PSE , Cued Speech, SEE ). Other Requirements Workplace and Eligibility Conditions Exposure to all weather conditions. Exposure to standard office conditions. Exposure to standard interpreter repetitive use of arms and hands Housing and living expenses will be the responsibility of the employee.
