This contract opportunity offers the flexibility of both full-time and part-time schedules to fit your availabilityall while working onsite to build personal connections and foster an inclusive environment.
Key Qualifications:
State certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Demonstrated knowledge of language acquisition and communication strategies for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and support staff Excellent communication, both verbal and written, with proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or another communication modality preferred Commitment to cultural diversity and accessibility within the classroom
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, following best practices and IEP guidelines Assess student progress and adjust interventions as needed, providing individualized support for language, literacy, and social-emotional development Collaborate regularly with educational teams to implement accommodations and modifications Advocate for student needs and inclusion within the general education setting Serve as a resource for staff and families, sharing expertise in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education and related technologies This role allows you to make a significant difference every day, with the added benefit of flexible scheduling to suit your lifestyle.
