9477138-23464 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity near Virginia Beach as a Sign Language Interpreter, supporting students and staff throughout the upcoming academic year. This full-time contract-to-hire position offers 37.5 hours per week, from August 2026 through July 2027, providing the chance to make a meaningful difference every day in an engaging school environment. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid EIPA score of at least 3.5 or VQAS Level II/III Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred Proficiency in American Sign Language and interpreting for a variety of age groups Ability to communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a dynamic educational environment

Key Responsibilities:

Provide sign language interpretation for students, staff, and classrooms Facilitate effective communication between Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing students and their peers and teachers Adapt interpreting methods to suit diverse learning needs and instructional settings Participate in educational team meetings and contribute to student planning as needed Foster an inclusive atmosphere that empowers all students to succeed Comprehensive benefits make this position even more attractive.
