Virginia Beach, VA 23518 Start date: October 7, 2026 Language on Demand, Inc. is a government contracting agency located in Annandale, Virginia, that offers a full range of language services including sign language interpretation, language translation, spoken language interpretation, Captioning in Real Time (CART), language education, and more. LOD has provided over 56k hours of ASL interpreting nationally and strives to work with top-tier Nationally Certified ASL interpreters.
Description:
LOD is seeking a qualified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter in the Virginia Beach/Hampton Roads area for long term, on-site interpreting opportunity supporting a federal government client.
Minimum Qualifications:
B.A Degree or higher U.S citizenship required Tier 3 Personnel Security Investigation (PSI) eligibility required Ability to commute to Virginia Beach/Hampton Road area (23518) Ability to interpret in various modes of sign language (ASL, PSE, CASE) Strong voicing skills while working with diverse clients Minimum of 3 years of relevant government or technical interpreting experience Possess current certification as recognized by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and/or the National Association for the Deaf (NAD)
