Job Description
Shared Living Provider Opportunity Central Vermont, Randolph Area, or Chittenden County Upper Valley Services is seeking a caring and reliable Shared Living Provider (individual or couple) to welcome a 38-year-old man with intellectual and developmental disabilities into their home and provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive living environment. This individual is deaf and communicates using American Sign Language (ASL), though he is currently experiencing vision challenges that impact communication. He has a wonderful sense of humor and enjoys spending much of his free time playing video games. He is looking for a provider who can offer stability, support, companionship, and encouragement while helping him maintain a high quality of life. The individual has significant support needs, including mobility assistance, transportation and coordination of frequent medical appointments at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, and support with communication and daily living activities. He also has extensive medical needs, making it important that providers are attentive, dependable, patient, and comfortable supporting ongoing healthcare-related needs.
