9678404-98006 Job Description Seeking a contract professional skilled in sign language interpretation to support staff and students for the upcoming academic year. In this role, youll facilitate clear communication across K-12 settings, ensuring access and engagement for all. Your ability to interpret American Sign Language (ASL) will make a vital difference district-wide, as you work collaboratively with educators and support teams on a daily basis.

Desired Qualifications:

Fluency in American Sign Language Either of the following: EIPA pathway: Minimum score of 4.0 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) and successful completion of the EIPA Written Test RID pathway: National Interpreter Certification (NIC) through RID and successful completion of the EIPA Written Test Will consider highly skilled non-certified paraprofessionals who are ASL fluent Experience working in educational settings or schools preferred

Role Responsibilities:

Provide ASL interpretation for students and staff in a variety of classroom and school settings Support both individual and group needs across K-12 grade levels, depending on caseload requirements Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of interpretation Participate in team meetings or planning sessions as needed
