9675034-98003 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Sign Language Interpreter supporting students in a vibrant educational setting near Federal Way, WA. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, aligning perfectly with the school day and leaving your late afternoons free. You'll be immersed in a dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) program at the middle school level, collaborating with a team of professionals in a well-structured and supportive environment. As you work within both DHH and general education classrooms, your interpreting skills will make a direct impact, fostering inclusive learning experiences for a wide range of students. Expect a varied day assisting in small group settings, as well as providing crucial 1:1 interpreting, ensuring each student's needs are met with respect and expertise.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) EIPA score of 3.5 or higher preferred Experience interpreting in educational settings, especially middle school Comfortable adapting between group and individual interpreting assignments Strong sense of professionalism, reliability, and collaboration
