9651819-98036 Job Description Embrace an impactful opportunity supporting K-12 students and staff as a contract Sign Language Interpreter and American Sign Language (ASL) educator. This role, based near Lynnwood, WA, spans from September 2, 2026, to June 11, 2027, and offers flexible hours of 30 to 32.5 per week, Monday through Friday. Youll serve a diverse student population, adapting your skills to various age groups and needs across the district to ensure effective communication and inclusivity.

Qualifications:

Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) required; non-certified paraprofessionals with strong ASL skills are welcome to apply Must meet one of the following:

EIPA Pathway:

Score of 4.0+ on Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment and passing of

EIPA Written Test RID Pathway:

National Interpreter Certification (NIC) through RID plus passing score on EIPA Written Test Experience supporting children and staff in school or educational settings is highly valued Flexibility to work with a range of ages and cases throughout the school district

Responsibilities:

Provide ASL interpretation between students, staff, and other community members in academic and extracurricular activities Collaborate with educators and support staff to facilitate inclusive learning environments Adjust interpreting approaches based on individual student needs and classroom situations Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Enjoy a highly competitive compensation package, with a pay range of $28$42 per hour, and weekly pay.
