You'll collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to facilitate clear, effective communication for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated experience in educational settings Strong understanding of interpreter ethics and confidentiality practices Ability to navigate diverse school environments and adapt to each students unique communication needs Relevant certification or credentials as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as EIPA, RID, or state equivalent) Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills

Key Responsibilities:

Provide interpreting services for students, staff, and families across multiple school sites Support classroom learning and extracurricular activities, adapting communication methods as needed Collaborate with special education teams to create inclusive learning environments Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions Travel between assigned sites as required to support students throughout the district This is your chance to make a meaningful impact by ensuring all students have equitable access to education and school experiences.
